When the host city of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games opens the festivities in the capital!

To celebrate Paris 2024, the City of Paris launched the festivities with more than 60 events spread across every district of the capital over four dates, welcoming the Olympic and Paralympic flame. Each stage of the route was alive with cultural, artistic and sporting events, highlighting Paris’s emblematic monuments and historic districts.

The event transformed Paris into a gigantic people’s party, encouraging Parisians and visitors alike to immerse themselves in the spirit of Paris 2024. Over the four days, passers-by experienced unforgettable moments: open-air opera in front of the Petit Palais, Yoann Bourgeois’ performance in front of the Pantheon, Sadeck’s synchronized dance in Montmartre, a convivial picnic at the Buttes-Chaumont, and wheelchair sports.
