NATIXIS INVESTMENT MANAGERS SUMMIT

A MEETING OF ACTIVE MIND

In 2017, Natixis Investment Managers adopted the phrase “Active Thinking” to describe its process of using unconventional reasoning for better results. The group wanted its first geopolitical summit to incarnate this new brand platform and get people talking.

We planned the Natixis Investment Managers Summit to take place on one day, 7 November 2018, at the Palais Brogniart in Paris. Every segment of the programme had to reflect the group’s belief that asset management is not based on short-term thinking but long-term developments that can affect the world and people’s investments. At a time when corporate conferences are continually raising the bar, we knew this one had to be exceptional.

Our dedicated team planned the summit for six months, once again proving our ability to create a strong, compelling editorial programme and attract top speakers from around the world. The summit featured 70 renowned experts from the fields of investment, finance, technology, business, academics and politics. We welcomed four former heads of state: Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Gerhard Shröder, and Colombian President and Nobel Peace Prize winner Juan Manuel Santos. They shared their experiences and opinions in a series of lively discussions and round tables, exploring how geopolitical trends might affect the future. We created opportunities for out-of-the-box thinking with hacking simulations, robot training and a design experience workshop.

Five hundred guests attended this first edition, including clients, partners and the media. Together, they experienced the power of active thinking at the highest level.
